Just purchased version 2. I also read that version 3 is coming pretty soon.
How long does the free upgrade last (if any) after initial purchase?

Hello, Version 3 will be a paid upgrade for all inForm users. However, there is a free 2.5 Beta available for existing Version 2 owners which have many of the 3.0 features:

It's that time again! We've just released a beta of our new inForm 2.5 product for the BlackBerry Smartphone. This is a special announcement for a privileged few - we haven't even released inForm 2.5 to our website yet!
New features in inForm 2.5:

1. Form Editor Download:
Click on the following link to download and install the Windows Editor:

2. OTA Device Download:
Direct the browser on your BlackBerry device to the following Address:
http://www.skysoftsystems.com/inform25/inform.jad
Notes:
You will need to remove your prior versions of the product. Please ensure that you back up your data first!
Please ignore any product version labels and packaging as this is currently in Beta.

I installed the 2.5 update last night, it installed without a hitch on my Storm 1.
All the controls seemed to work flawlessly on my touchscreen (ver 2 - still had some minor glitches with the checkboxes and option boxes being hard to select). I really liked that I could finally transfer my large records to my blackberry without having to break up the files into a bunch of smaller files.
The only problem with the transfer was I had to send the file via email as the usb transfer failed (just as it did in ver 2).
I am not sure what to do with the lookup tables yet but I am hoping that it will become a useful tool once I figure it out.

I have not tried to transfer the data from the blackberry to the computer as of yet.
