Hi, Yes, the program is always running. This is so that it can recieve new updates and form definitions. However, there is no negligable battery impact due to this. The application passively listens to the email inbox, there is no power consumed checking with the network. That is done by the native BlackBerry email client. So if you are noticing your battery draining quickly I would first check if BlueTooth or WiFi is enabled...this may drain your battery much more quickly. Also check for location based applications or Messenger applications that need to talk to the network...these have a tendency of draining batteries.
